Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both women and men in the United States.
In 2009, heart disease is projected to cost more than $304.6 billion, including health care services, medications, and lost productivity. In Brazil, there are around 66 thousand people waiting for an organ. But many organs cannot be used, because the doctors don't know how to recognize a cerebral death. My art represents a person, who's dead, donating their heart to someone who's dying. Good as a metaphysical force acts in a constructive manner, while evil acts destructively, creating a intriguing question: CAN ONE EXIST WITHOUT THE OTHER? If the organ donor were still alive, there was no heart to donate.... So, the evil had to happen for someone, so, there could be a good thing to save another life.
